What is Neck Liposuction?
A neck liposuction procedure involves a small tube called a cannula; this tube gets inserted beneath the skin on the neck through a small incision. With vacuum suction, excess fat gets removed from the neck. Once removed, the incision is closed with small sutures.
The incision made is small to reduce scarring. But after the procedure, you may experience bruising around the treatment area. This bruising will fade within a few days. We typically complete neck liposuction in just 30 minutes. Around five days to a week after the procedure, most patients resume their regular schedules.

The process at Dr. Watts office is so streamlined and simple, it almost felt too easy. My consultation and pre-op appointment were very quick and I was slightly nervous because I didn't spend much time with Dr.Watt prior to the surgery. All that said, I could not be happier with my results. Dr.Watt came highly recommended and he did a PHENOMENAL job. My pain was almost non-existent and I have a very low pain tolerance. Dr. G, Kasey, and the rest of the team are all amazing! Well…. I don’t even know where to begin. This by far has been the best experience with Dr. Watts office and staff. I had my own personal experience and ended up developing some blood after my breast augmentation and when I tell you the staff acted very quick and I was back in surgery just 2 days later and everything was taken care of. Will I have visible scarring after neck liposuction?
Dr. Watt places incisions for neck lipoplasty where they are less visible or easily concealed. During your consultation, he can show you where to place the small incision required for the liposuction cannula. These incisions will be made in the natural folds of your skin or just below your jawline, making them difficult for others to see. Dr. Watt or his team will explain scar care management so your incisions heal properly.
Does the fat come back after a neck liposuction procedure?
Liposuction removes fat cells from the neck, which cannot re-grow. However, should you gain a large amount of weight following liposuction, your neck may get larger because the remaining cells will grow.
